Abstract: The last individuals of the Hainan black crested gibbon survive in the Bawangling National Nature Reserve (BNNR). A collaborative conservation project by the Kadoorie Farm & Botanic Garden (Hong Kong) and the Gibbon Conservation Alliance (Switzerland) aims at saving the most critically endangered of all apes.
