Subadult pair, Leipzig Zoo, Germany, 2 July 1988.
The exact age of these wild-born gibbons is unknown. The male is slightly smaller than the female. The female is of adult size and has almost comleted her transition to the adult coat. Only the absence of light hair below the eye reveals that she is subadult or young adult.
